My Testimony

I grew up as one of those kids that rode the church bus to church. I didn’t attend regularly but I attended a lot. I considered myself saved although I couldn’t tell you when or where I got saved. That didn’t bother me until I sat in on my 1st pre-marital counseling session with my now husband and my preacher. One of the questions he asked was if we were saved. I said yes. My now husband could name the place, the time, who was involved, and even the song that was playing on the radio. That ate at me for a couple of weeks. I didn’t have a testimony. I sat in church 2 Sundays with God pulling at my heart. On the second Sunday, September 1, 1985 a week before my wedding I took the walk to the altar and had to explain to the preacher I didn’t lie in our session but God had been dealing with my heart after our session. I asked God into my heart in that Sunday morning service at First Baptist Church in Oakale Tennessee.
